Underwriters Implements NetSynergy
Appalachian Underwriters, the Oak Ridge,
TN-based MGA, has successfully implemented NetRate Systems
Inc.’s NetSynergy Rating Engine. The implementation
involved user interface screen development by Appalachian’s
IT staff which then called, transparently, NetRate’s
powerful NetSynergy Rating Engine to process the premium calculation.
Appalachian’s IT staff is headed by their CIO, Steve
Cota: “NetRate’s support of our development
process, particularly in the documentation of XML requirements
to drive their NetSynergy Rating Engine, enabled Appalachian
Underwriters developers to quickly and easily create web-based
input screens with our own web ‘look and feel’
that gathered the correct data to quote our Contractors program.
We were able to go live with our first line of business within
60 days. The NetSynergy Rating Engine is stable, scalable,
and able to handle our web-based quoting needs for many different
program classes. Any carrier or MGA looking to implement web-based
quoting should look at NetRate’s NetSynergy process.” |
